Turkey Trots and Other Thanksgiving Fun Runs

Start a new fun tradition and work off that extra helping of mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie early by participating in a Turkey Trot. Make new friends and enjoy the fresh air at any of these wonderful events. Click on the links below for more details or to register for one of these great runs/walks.

Turkey Day Run Boise. Proceeds from this run benefit the Boise Rescue Mission’s City Light Home for Women and Children, as well as the local Special Olympics teams. Race begins at 9am on 6th Street between Main and Idaho. 

Turkey Trot Relay. This is a 4 person relay where each member will race along a two mile loop through Ann Morrison Park. The team closest to their predicted time will win a turkey for each member of their team. Race begins at 8:30am at the east end of Morrison Park. 

Gowen Field Turkey Trot. This 5k is open to all members of the military and their family. Free to participate. There are costume contests for the best dressed male and female. This race begins at 3pm at Gowen Field.
