We’re back to our routines, at least getting back. The kids are back in school and the weather is starting to get cooler. The end of summer is bittersweet, it's nice to be back into a routine, but I miss hanging out with my kids. The good news is there are still quite a few free events happening in The Valley so you can have fun, even if you’re on a tight budget. Check it out.
Spirit of Boise Balloon Festival. Enjoy music and hot air balloons. Morning balloon launches and evening balloon glow. August 28th- Sept 1st. Ann Morrison Park.
Back To School Carnival at Bricks and Minifigs. Enjoy games and activities, free hotdogs and facepaint and more. Also the store will have discounts available. August 31st.
Meet Daniel Tiger! Bring the kiddos to meet Daniel Tiger. Various events locally with meet and greets. Register in advance. Sep 13-16
Scentsy’s Rock-A-Thon and Fireworks show. Scentsy is partnering up with the Ronald McDonald House to raise money for this wonderful charity by hosting a twelve hour rock-a-thon, volunteers will rock in chairs raising money for providing housing for families that have ill or injured children at local hospitals. The rock-a-thon will have a fireworks show as a finale starting at 9pm. If you park on the Scentsy Campus there will be a $10 per car charge, proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. September 13th.
Boise Art in the Park. Enjoy meeting local artists and purchasing amazing art. Lots of opportunities for hands on learning and activities for children. September 6-8
Meridian Community Block Party. Enjoy games, activities, inflatables and more at this free community block party. Sept 7th.
Hyde Park Street Fair. Bring the family to enjoy music, games, vendors, and food. Sept 13-15.
British Car Club Show. Come and check out vintage British cars, enjoy some music, and more. All proceeds go to the Meridian Food Bank, so don’t forget to bring canned food to donate. September 15.
Gazebo Concert Series. Bring the family to enjoy some music. Featuring Jeff Englebert Band. Sept 12th.
Family Foothills Day-Pollinator Party. Enjoy a fun-filled day of learning about pollination. Activities, crafts, and more. September 14th.
Boise River Greenbelt 50 Years Celebration. Enjoy festivities over this three day period and celebrate 50 years of the beautiful Greenbelt. Sept 19-21
Back to School Bookworms. Enjoy activities at the Boise Watershed, in partner with the Boise Library. September 21st.
