Summer is here! Time to relax and enjoy some time away from school. However, for some students, when school is out, that means no more guaranteed meals. When school is out for summer vacation, many children lose access to free and reduced meals they rely on during the school year. There are quite a few programs that offer free meals in the summer to help fill this nutritional gap throughout the summer.
Wedenesdays at Hope Lutheran Church you can get free hot dogs, chips, and a drink from 11:30-1pm. They also open their food pantry Monday through Wednesday from 10am-1pm to help those that need a little extra.
All children ages 0 -18 welcome to enjoy a free meal at the following places:
